     Hampshires

ABOVE ALL
E.N. 9-5/Reg# 4792938005
(Home Grown x Unreal x Black Oak)

$150/dose

Hampshire * Bred by Mark Long

Above All represents everything we feel was needed in our next Hampshire herd boar. Let’s start with his outstanding pedigree, his sire, Home Grown, has been as consistent as any the last two years. His dam 18-10 (Unreal x Black Oak) is as impressive of a Hampshire sow as we have seen lately. Her influence in the Hampshire breed will be felt greatly in the years to come. Her first litter started with Cain’s $85,000 boar, Oh My.

We feel Above All is ideal in his frame size with extra shape and muscle mass. A powerful chest floor and big rib, combined with being tall fronted and clean headed, makes him a unique individual. As if that wasn’t enough, his bone and rear leg structure may be his best contribution. We are counting on Above All to be the next big positive step here at Kilmer Swine Farm.

RESERVE CHAMPION HAMPSHIRE BOAR
INDIANA STATE FAIR

Here is our pick of the Hampshires at the 2010 Indiana State Fair. We teamed up again with our good friends at Upperhand genetics to own this $16,000 Reserve Champion. Outrageous was the breeding boar of the Hampshire show and maybe the breeding hog of the whole state fair. Outrageous is wide coming and going and super square on his feet and legs. He is heavy structured and is very correct in his angles and is sound on the move. He has great shape down his top and is level in his makeup. He was out of a very strong litter and a littermate was named Hog College Boar for NBS. Outrageous is going to be used on quiet a few sows here.

X-TREME MEASURES
E.N. 1-2 Reg.#470063002
(Home Grown X Unreal)

$100/dose

Hampshire * Bred by Mark Long

X-treme Measures is without a doubt one of the heaviest muscled Hampshire boars we’ve ever had! He is very expressive in his muscle shape and very square hipped and thick topped. X-treme Measures comes at you very wide and powerful while he maintains the same width all the way through. He is incredible when you see how massive yet still flexible and sound he is. X-treme Measure has a lot of genetic power behind him as his mother’s littermates also produced the $11,000 champion Hamp gilt at the expo, and the other littermate produced the $85,000 Hamp boar at the STC. His grandmother is the mother of Judgement Day and Hung Jury.
